"My name is Rafa Aremu and I am a visualizer.  I was born in Washington, DC and raised in, both, the District and Prince George's County, MD.  My art is a combination of sight, memory, feeling, and photography.  My photographs are an attempt to capture and share images that have created an instantaneous shift in my feelings as well as my being.  While capturing images on various continents, I try to keep in mind - with adoration to those being photographed, that I am the medium of a variety of cultures of a variety of people.  In the helix of time, our stay here is shorter than we expect it to be and the moments, they  fleet even quicker.  Perhaps, what I leave for the world in the future will enable those who watch to travel back in time, if just for a moment.".​
